We donate to AMVETS almost monthly and what we love about AMVETS is that the items go to people who need them (sort of like a Goodwill) and the money goes to our vets. It is also great that all you have to do is put the items in bags or boxes and put them on your door step marked "AMVETS" and a driver will come and pick up the items and leave you a T-124 receipt (for a tax right off).

AMVETS can pick up almost anything, however, they cannot pick up big pieces of furniture.
