The Corps in my eyes...

Something that really bothers me is the US Marines these days that do not deserve to be Marines. The ones who make the Corps weaker and weaker with each day that they are enlisted. I hate that the Marine Corps is now this organization in which anyone can be a part of. It wasn't that long ago that the Marine Corps didn't just take anyone...they left that for the other branches.

Instead joining the Marine Corps was a challenge and the individual prospect was chosen based on what they could offer to the Marine Corps. The Corps was once very competitive. Now not only are individuals joining that disgrace the Corps but those same Marines are being allowed to re-enlist. Those Marines do not even deserve to where an EGA any where on their uniform.

The Marine Corps' slogan "The few. The proud." used to mean just that but now it's more like "We'll take anyone."

Not everyone is cut out for the Marine Corps and it's disgusting seeing Marines who our over weight, have long hair, and/or do not properly wearing their uniform.

Becoming a Marine also means that you are supposed to look a certain way and carry yourself a certain way. When I think of a Marine I think of a very fit male or female in uniform...looking completely squared away. I hate these "weight Marines" with all of their excuses. Either stay in shape and have some damn self control or to the Marine Corps a solid and get your nasty fat ass out of the Corps because all your doing is disgracing the Corps.

So many men and women have lost their lives fighting for their country and their Corps. So many have died proudly wearing that EGA on their uniform and engraved into their heart and all these nasty Marines are doing is pissing on their grave by being in the Corps.

Marines should not be over weight or even be close to being over weight, they should have a short squared away hair cut, look outstanding in any uniform (including their civies), they need to have their spouse locked on and know how to be a spouse in the Marine Corps, they need to be motivated, be dedicated, have tact, have determination, and know what the fuck their doing in the work place.

I have met a lot of Marine spouses who just like their so called Marine disgrace the Corps because they fail to realize that everyday while their husband is in the Corps they represent their husband and in a small way they represent the Corps. Which means they need to get their shit squared away.

These worthless Marines make it harder for the squared away Marines in the world. The Marines who are locked on and do what they need to do and never expect anything in return. These squared away Marines wouldn't disrespect their Corps or shop by being over weight, out of uniform regs, or keeping porn in the office.

Can someone please clean up the Corps? I guess not. My Marine and I are squared away and until things change we are just stuck with watching the Marine Corps disintegrate. Unfortunately we are also stuck with watching these pathetic excuse for Marines disgrace and destroy our Corps.

There is only so much we can do. The best thing we can do is make sure that we are locked on.

If you have a Marine in your life and your being completely honest wiht yourself you know whether or not they are one of the few or just one of the disgusting many.
