I am happy to announce that today we went to a new playgroup.
It is called Morning B.O.P.S. (Building on Parenting Skills) Playgroup and it is the first and third Friday of every month, from 0930-1130. This playgroup is hosted by the wonderful MCAS Miramar New Parent Support Program.
So here is the playgroup broken down:
The woman who hosts it is named Donna and she is very sweet and surprisingly approachable. She starts the play group with "free play". Free play is followed by circle time with a story and dancing. During the playgroup she also discusses various topics and is willing to answer any parenting question to the best of her knowledge.
Parent Support Education topics include:
Age-appropriate discipline
Setting limits & boundaries
Potty Training
Self-care for mom & dad
Parenting with your partner
and etc.
Like every playgroup it is great to get your child comfortable in social situations and it is a great opportunity to meet other mommies.
Of course just like with the other playgroups, Brycen & Hunter love it!
