Today was The Very Hungry Caterpillar Day! We enjoyed storytime with the The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. We read the book a few times.
Brycen colored a picture of the very hungry caterpillar and all the food he ate. She also colored her own very hungry catapillar.
Hunter played with two different Very Hungry Caterpillar toys. The toys were to stimulate and entertain his growing mind.
The toys Hunter played with had the following benefits:
Crinkle, rattle and squeak sounds help to develop hearing and listening skills
Bright colors, patterns and sparkling materials develop baby's ability to distinguish images
A variety of fabrics promote touch and feel
Accessories for grabbing and gripping help refine hand/eye coordination
The soft and cuddly toys insire curiosity and encourage pretend play
We had a great Monday!
